Update from the Fred Hall Long Beach Show:

Over the last two days I’ve talked to a lot of guys who have come to the Big Game 90 booth to claim their free multi-day fishing trips after buying Okuma reels at the show.

Several people have told me they were first attracted by the special offer, but they ended up buying their Okuma reels because of the quality.

One guy had his Cavalla out of the box and kept shifting gears just because he said he liked the feel of it: “this thing is strong as **** and feels really precise - built like a German Tiger tank.”

Another guy said he was thinking about strapping his Cavalla to the front bumper of his truck next time he goes to Baja, just in case he needs to winch himself out.  I’m not sure he was kidding.
