BIG GAME REPORT— IN SEARCH OF A WHOPPER

April 05, 2009  //  Posted by: Wahoo Willie  //  Category: long beach fish reports

Mike Jewett checked in this morning from San Nicolas Island.

Mike reported slow fishing at Catalina yesterday but they did manage a few nice bass and 3 legal halibut for their efforts. Mike feels that if the weather stays nice this week good things will happen soon either at Catalina or S C I where several spots of yellows are being seen by the boats there this morning.

After making some more squid last night they headed out to San Nic.

So far this morning the sheep head , white fish and johnny bass have kept the guys busy while on the anchor. Mike said they need a little afternoon wind so that they can get some good drifts in for lings and things before heading for home.

Mike said several of the guys brought their cameras to take pictures for the upcoming WHOPPER OF THE WEEK on line derby. and will be submitting them for the week 1 contest.

Mike said he was pleased to tell the guys that the BIG GAME 90 as well as several other sport boats will be major  sponsors of this derby and will  provide 1/2 to 6 day trips as prizes. The Tackle companies have joined in too. A A lures , OPTIMUM swim baits, YAMA custom rods, OKUMA high performance tackle and TIBURON  to name a few.       Even WESTERN OUTDOORS NEWS will be providing yearly subscriptions to lucky winners.

Take it from  Mike and the boys on the BIG GAME this is going to be fun and a chance to win some great prizes and it’s all FREE.

All you need to do is go to whopperoftheweek.com and read all about the contest then sign up

If you sign up now they will keep you posted as to when to start sending in  pictures and remember you get to vote for the winners

THE BIG GAME IS HEADED FOR LONG BEACH

April 02, 2009  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: big game 90, fish reports, fishing reports, long beach fish reports, long beach sportfishing

Attention all stations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well she’s on her way

After 3 1/2 weeks of nonstop work and having to deal with several Gremlins and a  Coasty with his head up his ass the boys are headed to Long Beach.

Mike said he will be looking for squid along the cost tonight and should be at the marina midmorning tomorrow.

We would like to apologize for the delay but the government boy doing the inspection didn’t feel the urgency of us needing to be in Long Beach last night and didn’t show up to do the last part of the inspection on the new generators until late this morning.
BOY IS HIS BOSS GOING TO GET AN EAR FULL

All is well and we will see you soon
