Reports From the Bridge

Capt. Mike Jewett brought the Big Game home this morning form a 2 1/2 day trip with Andy and the boys from the L A F D.

They fished offshore on the first morning then went into San Martin for the remainder of the trip.

Capt. Mike said that they found good conditions the first afternoon and managed to put 45 nice yellows on the boat before dark. The next morning they found that the water had cooled off and the yellows where a no show so after looking at the breakers and the 6 fat. spot Mike put the group on some great bottom fishing spots and everyone caught there fill of the tasty critters to take home. Mike then went looking for the yellows and found a bunch that wanted to bite just before dark and they put another 61 fish on the boat.

Mike will be taking the Big Game back out this evening on a 3 1/2 day trip and we still have openings if anyone wants to jump on this trip call the office @ 858 270 7525 we also have a 6 day departing on Sunday afternoon this space available

The great weather has sparked the much anticipated fall bite of tuna and yellows.

Yesterday several boats had catches of Bluefin ranging from 20 to 45 fish per boat in the area of the 390 and down at San Martin the Ranger 85 found the best water conditions of the year there and the yellows wanted to cooperate. Mike on the Big Game found a few yellowfin offshore then ran into San Martin and got in on the yellowtail bite in the late afternoon boating 45 nice fish before dark.

For those of you who haven’t gotten in a good trip this year NOW is the time!!!!!!!! The weather forecast for the next few weeks is fantastic and the water conditions have settled down.

We have openings on a 3 1/2 day trip departing Wed. at 7pm and a 6 day departing Sunday afternoon both trips have several openings. Call us for special pricing on these trips.

The Doc Ski 3 1/2 day trip returned with a real mixed bag Tuna, Yellows

White seabass, Black seabass, Barracuda, White fish, Sheepshead, Reds, Lings and several other chitters. Full bag where had by all.

The Big Game 90 checking in this morning and what a strange year it has been. They were down below San Martin yesterday and pulled in some nice white seabass with some yellowtail to go with it and a couple of blacks. This morning they have another 6 seabass on the boat to go with the  great caliclo bass, reds and whitefish fishing.

The Big Game 90 goes Wednesday night for a 3.5 day trip. and next Sunday  the 3rd of Oct.for 6 days call the office for some very special discounts on these trips!!

Attention all stations

We have had a schedule change.

We have added a 2 1/2 day trip departing on Thursday October 14th @ 7pm and returning on Sunday Morning October 17. The price is $399 + food permits and taxes.

We will be targeting offshore the first day and if we need to we can make the run to san Martin over night andhave a full days fishing at the island.

Remember if you book one full fair spot the 2nd goes for 1/2 price.

Thanks guys we where able to fill the spots on trip # 84 for the firemen.

We have had 4 spots open up on trip # 80 a 2 1/2 departing Sunday night Sept. 19 that we are offering it at the same price.$387.50  This includes all food permits and taxes. Just let Larry know that you would like to help out one of our guys in uniform and take his spot.
