JACK-POT WINNERS SCORE BLUEFIN

Jul 30, 2009  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: Screamin' Deals, big game 90, san diego fish reports

The jack-pot winners for trip # 25 all scored on nice bluefin that looked like they came from the same mold

First place went to Michael Menard with a 38.7 lb. bluefin tuna
Second place went to Mitch Lesh with a 38.6 lb. bluefin tuna

Third place went to Billy Miles with a 38.2 lb bluefin tuna

How about that sports fans 3 fish that where only ounces apart for jack-pot winners

The guys are back at it to day with the Doc. Ski charter. Mike reported that they had a nice start on the day with a few yellows and dorado and that they where seeing tuna that wasn’t ready to bite yet but they have high hopes for the afternoon bite.

We still have spots on trip #31 departing Wed. August 5 @ 8PM & Trip 33 departing Friday August 7 @ 8pm These are 2 day trips call Larry for info on these or any of the BIG GAME 90 trips @ 858 270-7525

THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE FOR THESE TRIPS

With the water as warm as it is getting this could be a fantastic fall. Come get in on it with Mike and the boys with just a few of your buddies or employs and customers.

I returned Friday evening with my fishing buddy and was very disappointed with the way the charter was booked. As usual the Captains and crew were excellent…but come on, with 38 people trying to all work the kelp for Yellowtail was a nightmare. The bait was pretty sad too. Why does this charter agency book so many people in the first place? Everyone I talked to agreed there were to many people, even Doc who put the charter together. I lost at least 3 yellowtail do to tangles even though the deck crew was trying there best to help everyone…pretty sad when you come home with an empty cooler. Sure not like it was several years back when you could limit out on overnight trips that were load limited. It appears that it’s all about the money. I forgot to mention the galley crew…they were great and the meals were very tasty. Isn’t there some way to tell people who book in advance just how many people they intend to register…or are they at liberty to book as many people as possibe?
