Hello all

Thanks to Doc and Clay we have some really nice pictures of Doc’s charter last weekend.

For those of you who are new to the blog just click on                                                   YOUR TRIP PHOTOS and scroll down to trip # RF4

Doc is talking about a 3 3/4 day trip next year over president’s day weekend.

This will allow us to go a little farther down and fish the waters outside Geronimo Island and Sac. Reef.   These waters are virtually unfished.

It’s like the fishing for Reds and Ling Cod  was 30 years ago. I’ll bet some of you fished with Doc and me on the China Clipper back then.  Remember how the Santa Rosa flats and San Miguel Island where. Well this area is every bit as good!!!!!!!!!

If you are interested in going on a trip like this with one of the best charter masters and his friends around give him a call 805 983-3040 or email him   docski377@aol.com and get on the list.

Begging for Photos

August 09, 2009  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: Fish Photos, big game 90, fish reports

Good Sunday morning.

Mike just called in to report that they had a tuff day of weather yesterday but did manage to scratch out 50+ mixed fish for the day.

They made the move to yesterdays hot bluefin area and have  put 6 bluefin tuna and 4 albacore on the deck as of 8am this morning and are seeing some small spots of tuna.

The weather is great and they have high hopes for the day.

Guys and Gals I’m asking for your help. We kicked off a new feature (Your Trip Photos) on
REPORTS FROM THE BRIDGE and we’re begging you for photos. These can be any photos that where taken of fish caught  on the Big Game 90. Just give me when and who and we will put them up. I’ll let Willie tell you how.

Here’s what you do:

  • Email your photos to BG90photos@gmail.com. Don’t send huge files. Shrink ‘em down a bit first. Don’t paste ‘em into your email. Attach ‘em. If you don’t know how to do all that, get your nearest 12 year old to show you how. That’s what I did.
  • Don’t forget to tell us the trip number or the date of the trip you were on. We can’t post ‘em if we don’t know where to post ‘em to.
  • Don’t forget it’s a G rated site. We won’t post your dirty pictures (but that don’t mean you can’t send em anyway).

Thanks Willie
tight lines and good times

Got Pictures?

August 05, 2009  //  Posted by: Wahoo Willie  //  Category: Fish Photos

Hey Gang, Wahoo Willie here with a couple of things…

Check out the new page on Reports From the Bridge. It’s called “Your Trip Photos” and I bet you can guess what’s on it. Just a couple of slide shows posted so far, but we’re gonna be puttin’ up a new slide show for every trip.

The crew does a pretty good job of takin’ pictures, but it’s not their number one job - it’s tough to hold a camera in one hand and a gaff in the other, know what I mean? They’re gonna miss some good stuff, and they’re not gonna get pictures of everybody or every nice fish. So if you’ve got pictures you want posted, you send ‘em and we’ll post ‘em…

Seeya at the rail.
