HSUS and California DFG: ‘Union with the devil”

October 30, 2011  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: Sportfishing

While this editorial is from the perspective of the hunters, anytime the HSUS makes inroads into a state or federal agency, we who have anything to do with animals can be  very negatively affected. This is simply WRONG!

CA Dept of Fish and Game has had and can have an effect on aviculture due to the policies and regulations they create.

We need to take action to remove HSUS from the Dept of Fish and Game…period.

So, if you live in California, share this information with your friends, hunters, exotic animal owners, etc.

http://www.wonews.com/t-EditorialReport_HSUS_102011.aspx

Editorial Report
HSUS and DFG: ‘Union with the devil”
Western Outdoor NewsPublished: Oct 20, 2011

The California Department of Fish and Game just released a News Release
in partnership with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS),
the
largest and most vocal anti-hunting group not just in the U.S., but in
the world!

It doesn’t matter what the News Release was about, the problem here is that HSUS has bought the Department of Fish and Game for a $5,000 check here and a $5,000 check there, providing them with free advertising from what is supposed to be a sportsman-based state agency.

This is all a well-thought out plan by HSUS, to make inroads on hunting and fishing from within. HSUS now has Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) actively working in California under the auspices of the DFG. They are going through the DFG Training Academy that trains wardens. And even worse, one of the HSUS LEO’s is actually teaching a class on animal cruelty to wardens — many times misrepresenting what actually is animal cruelty, according t! o a WON source who sat in one of those classes.

October Is LongRange Time

October 09, 2011  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: Sportfishing

The Big Game just returned from a 6 day trip and tfhe fishing was great and everyone had a great time the fish count was 139 tuna 4 dorado 1 grouper1 giant LingCod and 415 yellowtail and these where the quality 25 to 30lb fish from San Benitos Island and the high spot @ San Pablo Bay
This trip was tipical of a fall 5,6,or 7 day trip.
If you have never experienced one of these trips or it’s been a while you owe it to yourself to make one of these mid range trips. You really don’t need any special gear. Just good quality 25, 40, and 60 lb outfits will do just fine.
Or you can rent it from us we have  high quality Okuma and Shimano rental packages just for these trips. We will have our 2012 Schedule up in a couple of days. Remember we offer a 50% discount to the first 16 sopts on each trip if you book and put a 25% deposit down before Jan. 1 2012

Great September Fishing

September 27, 2011  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: Sportfishing

Hay Guys & Gals
In case you haven’t noticed the offshore fishing this last month has been fantastic and it is still going on. The best trips have been the 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 day trips. Catches of 300+ mixed tuna yellows and dorado have been common. It looks like like this fishing will continue for the month of October. We have several 2 1/2 day trips scheduled in October. If you still need a tuna-fix give us a call.
