FIRST OPAH OF THE SEASON

Jul 21, 2010  //  Posted by: Irv  //  Category: Sportfishing

Ryan Childs landed this nice Opah  about 100 miles south fo San Diego on our last 2 1/2 day trip.

The fish was hooked while drifting on a school of Bluefin that didn’t want to bite.

There seems to be plenty of Tuna and Albacore arround but it’s hard to get them to bite.

Perhaps with the full moon coming they will start biteing better.

Wow Ryan - not that is a FISH. I heard some folks on my last dive boat trip say Opah was the best tasting fish in the ocean, enjoy.

    Hey Ryan,
I was on that trip with my son and a good friend and that is still one beautiful fish. Congrats.
